Time

Taken with Olympus Pen EE-2 and film Agfa Vista 200.

to say that it's not true, it takes time
to hear the truth from your family, it takes time
to touch all the broken parts, it takes time
to feel all the pain in life, it takes time

time matters to every particle
even human being
even the lights
and it's really hard to appreciate time
to appreciate people who respect time

i'm not a saint
neither a teacher
we live in this cruel world
where people spend time to revenge
where people spend time to waste
people has their own time
to fall, to shine
to crawl, to run
and to sit back relax

time matters to every particle
even human being
even the lights
and it's really hard to appreciate time
to appreciate people who respect time

Can I Be Myself?

The more I know, the more I moron
The more I rich, the more I poor
The more I sane, the more I blind
The more I impress, the more I fail
The more I quiet, the more I wise
The more I great, the more I bad
The more I learn, the more I gain
The more I stay, the more I happy
---
Words from mind at night. Can I just be myself? Be who I am in front of bunch of people who see me as thing not human, who see me as misfortune not fortune, who see me as failure not opportunity.

Free Sunday At The Zoo

A zoo could be the best option for you to take some me-time. As I like to spend my time sightseeing the City of Bandung alone, I went to Bandung Zoo some weeks ago. Luckily, I could get up early to go to the zoo and enjoy the Bandung's morning atmosphere. The purpose of going to the zoo was to see how the animals there were being treated. And, nothing much but sadness. As I saw a lot of animals were in a cage, well it's big cages, but the place itself wasn't clean and a bit messy. Visitors were allowed to give peanuts and other food to the animals, which was ethically not good at all. Animals have their own food from the operators or animal handlers, most of the animals can't eat any kind of food. But when the people gave them food carelessly, they surely curious about the food and they just eat it, carelessly too. I pity for the people who gave the food to the animals whereas the rules were totally clear that visitors can't give animals the food. I pity for the managers of the zoo who don't care enough for the animals, they have rights to live happily and well in suitable places for them. It's just sad seeing them live like that, you know.

Despite all of the thoughts I wrote, I quite enjoy photographing the animals from outside their cages. I didn't take so many of them, but here they are.

Short Fun Trip to Tegal

Who's never been to Tegal before? You lame. HAHA, kidding.

Tegal seems so familiar to me just because I travel to it every year and oh, and it's my super sweet (but very very hot) hometown. You can have sweats all over your body right after you took a bath, with cold water. This is not joking.

Around mid of May, I went to Tegal with my always companion, my mother. Our purpose was to do ziarah and seeing my mother's family who's been there since I was a kid. I brought my Yashica fx3 super 2000 with (this is the exciting part) Ilford hp5 black and white film. Oh yes, it's Ilford, the master of black and white. It was the first time I ever tried BW film.

You know, every single time I traveled to Tegal was just seeing my relatives and doing ziarah. But this time, my mom and I got a little surprise by exploring ourselves from Tegal to Pemalang. The funny part was Tegal still has some kinda hill, it's still very hot by the way. We went to a beach in Pemalang and a beach in Tegal. And, I never forget to try Tegal foods, one of them is Rujak Teplak (it is super good, you should try when traveling to Tegal). We made it for a couple days and then we went back to Bandung. It was fun and I am happy and grateful I still could go back to where I'm from. :)
